Santa’s Village, a tiny town of north pole inspired holiday dwellings at Huffhines Park, is a holiday tradition for families from Richardson and beyond. Each colorful building offers children a fun activity and even a visit with Santa Claus! Attendees can also enjoy live performances, holiday photo ops and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or a snack.

We hope you join us in the month of December as we celebrate the holiday season with Santa's Village at Huffhines Park! The FREE holiday event will include FREE Parking, FREE photos with Santa, musical performances and interactive activities within each village dwelling.

The Village will be open to stroll through and view December 8-11 and 15-18,
9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. each day.

Santa's Village has been a tradition for over 36 years!

Adaptive Night: Thursday, Dec. 11, 6-8 p.m.
Experience Santa's Village in a sensory-sensitive environment! Free to attend and open to all ages; however, please limit additional guests to immediate family so more can enjoy.

Advance tickets are required, and space is limited! Pre-registration is required and is limited to 6 tickets per guest. Click here to register.

ADA Access & Accommodations: The City of Richardson strives to make sure that Santa's Village is an accessible event. Accommodation requests for persons with disabilities should be made at least 14 days in advance of the festival by contacting the City's ADA Coordinator by email at ADACoordinator@cor.gov. Individuals needing to schedule assistance with DART Paratransit please contact DART directly at 214-515-7272.

Volunteers

With everything from a post office to a bakery and a tv station, it takes a whole town of volunteers to keep Santa’s Village up and running. Volunteers arrive before the village opens to begin preparing for visitors. Most of our volunteers are affiliated with an organization that sponsors a particular building or activity, but some volunteer through the City of Richardson to fill in where needed. Volunteers are needed to assist with activities in the dwelling, and serve as greeters and interact with our guests.

Over the duration of Santa’s Village, the City of Richardson relies on over 70 volunteers per night who contribute a total of 2,700 hours. We are extremely grateful for the commitment, hard work and never-ending similes of our volunteers to help children and their families celebrate the holiday season!

Volunteer Signup

All volunteers must be 16 or older to volunteer without a parent/guardian.
Volunteer hours for Santa's Village are 5:30 - 9:00 pm.
Volunteers must be available for the entire shift.
All volunteers must sign up online in advance.
No walk-in volunteers the day of the event will be accepted.
Shifts may fill early.
