Breckinridge Park is a 417-acre park located on the east end of Richardson’s panhandle near Renner and Brand roads. The park opened in April 1992 and is the largest of Richardson’s 40 parks.
While largely undeveloped, the park features a multi-use trail as well picnic areas, playground equipment, restroom facilities, two pavilions and one gazebo, which overlooks a 10-acre lake. The park also includes 12 soccer fields and four baseball fields, known as the Keffler Baseball Ballfields in honor of former City Manager Bill Keffler. In addition to the 10-acre lake with the gazebo, two additional lakes are located on the north side of the park.
Breckinridge Park has several parking lots that can be accessed via Brand Road and Renner Road. The park is located just south of the 22-acre Ruth Back Toler Park, which can be reached via the City’s trail system.
