Ebsco is providing temporary access to several of their e-book collections through July 20, 2020. Please visit the following links to gain access and be ready to enter your Richardson Library card information. In order to download ebooks, Adobe Digital Editions is required:

To access Ebsco's ebook collections, visit and follow the instructions below: 

  1. Select your library from the dropdown (hint: start typing the library name to find it faster)
  2. Enter your library’s password, or use the temporary password TexasCares
  3. Click on By Subject in the top menu, then click on eBooks
  4. Click on eBooks at EBSCOhost
  5. Click on Choose Databases above the search box
  6. Uncheck the eBook Collection in the left column – it’s near the bottom of the list. Select one of the following items in the right column:
    • eBook Academic Collection
    • eBook Public Library Collection
    • eBook High School Collection
    • eBook K-8 Collection
    • eBook Business Collection
    • eBook History Collection
    • eBook Education Collection
  7. Click OK to close the selection pane
  8. Click the word eBooks in the blue header bar to browse the collection
  9. Repeat steps 6-9 for each different collection.
