Residential and Commercial Services
Residential solid waste collection is provided twice a week and residential recycling is provided once a week to approximately 27,500 households. Additionally, the Public Services Department collects Commercial solid waste from approximately 1,500 customers up to six times a week.
Last fiscal year, Public Services visited Richardson homes more than 92,700 times for Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC).

The City of Richardson schedules holiday make-up days for recycling collection. No holiday make-up days are provided for regular trash.
