If you are moving out of the City of Richardson, you can discontinue service in any of the following ways:

  • Phone: Call us at 972-744-4120, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Online: Complete the online disconnect form.
  • Email: Send a request to customer.service@cor.gov.
  • In Person: Apply at 411 W. Arapaho Rd, Suite 101.

We will need to know when you want to discontinue service at your address. The security deposit plus interest will be credited to your final bill. If there is a remaining balance due, you will receive a final billing. If there is a credit balance, you will receive a final billing and a check from the City of Richardson.

Service can be discontinued on workdays only between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Before deciding on a disconnect date, please be aware we will be out any time during the disconnect day to cut off the meter. If you plan to do any cleaning you may want to schedule the termination of service for the next day.
