The Sign Control Board reviews requests for exceptions to the City’s Sign Code and makes recommendations to the City Council.

ROLE OF THE BOARD:

• Reviews requests for exceptions to the City’s Sign Code.
• Makes recommendations to the City Council.

BOARD MEMBERSHIP:

• Board appointed by City Council.
• Seven resident members.
• Two-year terms with a limit of four consecutive terms.

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY:

• Must be a qualified voter.
• Must have been a resident of Texas for at least one year.
• Must be a Richardson resident for at least six months immediately prior to the date of appointment.
• Must hold no elected public office.
• Must not be in arrears in taxes or other liability due the City of Richardson.

MEETING FREQUENCY:

• The board is expected to meet monthly.
• Members are expected to attend at least 75% of scheduled meetings.
