UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
All City Council/City Plan Commission meetings will be held in the Richardson Room located in the City Hall/Civic Center facility located at 411 W. Arapaho Rd.
Meetings will take place following strict “social distancing” guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which outline physical distancing of at least 6 feet between people and other measures (see here).
Citizens are encouraged to watch meetings online or on cable rather than participating in person due to concerns related to the spread of COVID-19.
The City of Richardson requests and encourages feedback from the public on all public meetings/hearings. Comments from the public help decision makers learn about the diverse points of view in the community and improve the quality of policymaking.
There are three ways to submit public comment:
- Attend a meeting in person,
- Provide comment using the online Public Comment Form (see below),
- Participate in the meeting electronically by phone (Public Hearings only).
Please do not include any sensitive or confidential information when providing public comments.
Public Online Comment Form
The City of Richardson offers an electronic Public Comment Form to provide citizens a way to provide comments without attending a meeting in person. The Public Comment Form is available for comments on any topic or agenda item, including public hearing items. All comments submitted using the online form must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the meeting date and will be provided for the record.

Temporary Phone-In Service for Public Hearings
Due to concerns related to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Richardson has established a temporary phone-in service to provide citizens a way to provide comments without attending meetings in person. This method is only available for public hearing items while the meeting is taking place.CALL 214-997-0297
Please follow the steps below to take part in a Public Hearing by phone:
- Call 214-997-0297 at the time the meeting you wish to attend begins, or watch the meeting on video and call at the time the agenda item you are interested in begins.
- Listen to the directions provided by the recording.
(All calls are muted at the time they are taken.)
(Those wishing to comment are placed in line in the order their call request was made.)
on your phone to let the session moderator know you wish to make a comment on the current public hearing item.
- Make your comments when you are called upon.
(You phone will automatically be un-muted when it is your time to speak.)
- Continue listening to the meeting or end your call.
(Audio from your phone will automatically be re-muted when your comments are complete.)
