$36,000,000
Proposition B would authorize bond funding for public safety facility capital improvement projects. Projects included under this proposition address fire department facilities and related infrastructure needs.
Use of Adopted Plans
Public safety facility projects included under Proposition B were informed by the Fire Department Strategic Master Plan, which was used as a planning reference to help identify facility needs and types of projects for consideration.
Fire Apparatus Building
- Construction of a fire apparatus storage and support building located behind Fire Station No. 5. The project may include enclosed vehicle bays, interior space for apparatus storage and maintenance activities, building systems, associated site improvements, and supporting infrastructure, as needed.
Fire Station 6 Addition
- Construction of an addition to Fire Station 6. The project may include expansion of interior spaces to upgrade the physical fitness room to facilitate the department’s standard fitness equipment, building system upgrades, and associated site improvements, as needed. Additionally, the project is anticipated to include an expansion and remodel of the kitchen and dayroom areas to accommodate the current number of assigned personnel.
Fire Station 7 – Design
- Professional architectural, engineering, and site planning services for a future Fire Station 7 as recommended by the Fire Department Strategic Master Plan. The project may include preparation of plans, specifications, and related technical studies associated with the facility and site.
Fire Station 7 – Construction
- Construction of a new Fire Station 7. The project may include the fire station building, associated site development, utilities, and supporting infrastructure, as needed.
