Safety Action Plan:

Richardson_CSAP_Logo

As part of Richardson’s overall aspiration to develop, “A comprehensive multimodal transportation system that facilitates safe, accessible, comfortable, and convenient mobility for all people and travel modes,” (2024 Complete Streets Policy), the City of Richardson is developing a Safety Action Plan to help create a safer mobility system for all. The program aims to provide a collaborative and data-driven strategy to reduce transportation-related fatalities and serious injuries. Through Safer Streets Richardson, the City will determine policy and program-related safety strategies and develop roadway project recommendations. Your input is sought to help the City with both.

ADA Transition Plan:

The City of Richardson is conducting its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan to determine next steps to take to ensure inclusion and access for people with disabilities. The City is seeking input from the public about its degree of accessibility and feedback on what is important to members of the community living with disabilities. Community input is valuable to help the City determine steps to take to ensure access for people with disabilities throughout our programs.

Cultural Arts Master Plan

The City of Richardson has begun the process of updating its Cultural Arts Master Plan, which was last updated in April 2013.

The Cultural Arts Master Plan is a long-term planning document that helps guide the future growth and development of cultural arts in Richardson. The plan is created from findings from a broad and inclusive public engagement process. The goal is to create clear and obtainable goals and objectives to help the city grow and develop. Among the things that came out of the 2013 Master Plan was the creation of www.ArtsinRichardson.com and the adoption of the Public Art Master Plan.

The process of updating the plan will have five phases and is expected to take a year to complete. The City has hired BerryDunn to guide the process. The company will use a variety of methods to gather input including person on the street interviews, virtual and in-person focus groups, and online project hub, pop-up events and engagement stations where people can share their thoughts. To ensure all residents are given the opportunity to provide input, BerryDunn will establish a diverse and multilingual project team and engage residents in all phases of the process.

More information about the plan, including a schedule of public input opportunities once they are scheduled can be found here.
